Letters of recommendation. Applicants must provide
two (2) letters of recommendation from college/university faculty. Letters
may be sent via email to ribse@buffalo.edu
or via regular mail to the address listed above. E-mail is strongly
preferred and will expedite your application .
Resume including One Page Personal Statement.
This document should not exceed 3 pages in length and should be emailed (preferably
in PDF format) to ribse@buffalo.edu.
Resumes should include the following information:
A list of all colleges and universities attended (with corresponding
dates);
A list of research projects in which the applicant is a current
or past participant. Include the name of the Principal Investigator.
If relevant, a list of publications on which the applicant is a
named co-author or an acknowledged contributor.
Any other information that the applicant feels will be relevant
to consideration of his/her application.
Personal Statements should describe the applicant's
academic and research goals, any other research experiences, and long-term
career objectives. Personal statements can be very helpful in demonstrating
an applicant's interest in biomedical research, especially if the applicant
cannot demonstrate this via coursework. Applicants should clearly articulate
what they hope to get out of the program and how they believe the program
will help them reach their short- and long-term goals.
